About AASD Awards
The Asian Association for the Study of Diabetes (AASD) awards were established to honor outstanding contributions to the mission of AASD: Promoting Research for Better Diabetes Care in Asia. The awards are granted to those having scientific achievements and/or outstanding leadership qualities.
The Five AASD Named Awards
1. The Yutaka Seino Distinguished Leadership Award
2. The Masato Kasuga Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement
3. The Xiaoren Pan Distinguished Research Award for Epidemiology of Diabetes in Asia
4. The Eung Jin Kim Award for Excellence in Diabetes Care in Asia
5. The Boniface J. Lin Award for Outstanding Contributions to Diabetes Education in Asia
Nomination process
AASD Awards 2024 is open for nomination, Deadline is January 31st, 2024.
- The application must be submitted using the AASD Award Application Form ( PDF | Word )
- The application must be submitted by members of AASD.
- Nominees will be requested to submit the summary of their major achievement, CV, and publication highlights in the selection process.
- The application form should be submitted to the AASD office (office@aa-sd.org) by e-mail before the deadline.
- Each AASD member is eligible to recommend only one candidate for each award.
Award/Lecture/Publication
- Awardees must deliver his or her lecture at the AASD Annual Scientific Meeting.
- The Award Lecture will be published in the Journal of Diabetes Investigation (JDI).
